Dear Hannah
This morning (February 2nd) the major came around asking:" what's going on". I read the hungerstrike alert to him... he leaves and orders all the solid doors closed. We were left for two hours with the heat on, doors closed and the vents off. We just laying here pouring sweat. this was done out of retaliation.Hannah there are 6 of us going without water and I am feeling it . Blurred vision. concentration not there... and I am feeling bad. I keep getting goosebumbs. I am trying to keep in contact with the media as long as I can. I heard we made the Florida Times Union. If you see anything on the internet please send it in. I am hoping we get some protesters out front. I got to close and lay down.. please take care. lots of love
I URGE, beg , plead to all of you. please call the prison, call Crosby, call the media. this is DEAD WRONG...... That's terrible, I have called FSP to express my dismay. Karin

Subject: Disturbing claim about Inspector General.
Dear Kaylee,
I received a letter from M/M that included an article written by Ronald Clark Jr. In it he states that he contacted the Inspector General office to point out violations of rules and regulations in FSP. He aparently received a reply from the IG's office, but the IG merely claimed that it is not his responsibility.
I have posted the article - along with other articles written by Ronnie - in my blog. [http://cloudbursting.blogspot.com]
If what the article says is true, then I think this should be brought to the attention of ... well I don't know really, someone who can do something about it? For me the most frustrating part of this is me being so far away and in another country. I am really concerned for the well-being of all who are being held in the re-named x-wing.
The inmates in q-wing are participating in a hunger strike that began the first of February. They have asked me to spread this to as many people as I can.
I'm sorry to be dumping all of this on you, but Amnesty International only seems to focus on the death penalty being given to offenders who were under 18 at the time of their offence, and it being given to the mentally impaired. Both of which are area's that need attention, but there are other situations that also need to be looked into.
I'm not sure if there is anything that you could do either, but maybe if the intended hunger strike becomes public knowledge the prison management might at least take the claims of the inmates seriously.
Thank you
Sarah
GLEANED FROM AN ONLINE BULLETIN BOARD
"While there is no actual physical 'pain' inflicted, the countless hours of boredom and constant reminder of 'who they are, where they are, and (most importantly) how they got there' is more than punishment enough. All the rest of the issues are just 'stuff'. Hunger strikes come and go (we know they get snacks from the Runaround and some even gain weight during the process). There is plenty to 'complain' about but little will happen. That's just part of the 'system'. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it." --From a former Property "Officer" of FSP--
"These guys get everything they need. Two packages (family) a year plus two at Christmas. State DOC soap is jus' fine (you can scrub anything with it, you, your floor, clothes, etc). All the food you can eat (most GI's had worse at one time or 'tother) and they even check on you a couple or three times a day to make sure you're still there. What else could anyone axe for? Oh yeah, local tattoo artist available 24/7.
These two whiners can wait 'til they get their Death Sentence. Then they'll get a free nifty 13" B&W TV with free cable (Tha's cause some bleedin' heart Christian group donated a $25K USD satellite system). Man, this is better than Boot Camp.
Oh, In the three or so winters I spent down the hall it was usually too hot on the wings. I never experienced lack of heat. There. 'Course in the summertime my office was pretty popular. Located just before J Wing I had a real good AC keepin' it about 72F on the hottest days. Plenty of FM background music and always the pleasant scent of Brut.
Now if y'all think they 'need' more attention jus' write yur self some letters to the Supt, FSP , and axe to get on their Visitors List. Then you can put your money where your mouth be and spend a nice Sunday chattin' with a murderer for three or so hours. Best part, you can hear all the sad stories first hand. Good luck. From a dude who's wife is a GUARD in the DOC. According to him and his James Crosby can do no wrong... BuzzC
