HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED
The conditions of Maximum Management are harsh. Perhaps too harsh if people being held there are going to this length to make their grievances heard: No reading material, fresh air once a month, no warmth, little food, living in filth, deprived of visitors, seeing only angry, unconcerned staff day after day. Many of these men have been on M/M longer than is acceptable.

An effective demonstration would be a vigil group to set up camp by the side of the road across the street from FSP ( in front of NRE) to give the press something worthwhile to talk about. If I were in state I'd do it. I've demonstrated there many many times. They'll come tell you to leave, but you politely point out that it is public property, vigils have been held there before, and you intend to stay until you are finished. The guards will call the cops and the highway patrol like they did on me, but they can't make you leave! When you don't leave, they'll even try to get you to go up into the little area under the trees where the death penalty groups stand, but I refused, because more people can see you from the road. Needs to be at least two people and a video camera and if you stay there as long as the strike is going on, you'd need a support crew to bring out supplies.
If you can't organize a vigil, will you be a contact?ATTEND HUNGER STRIKERS 1ST SUPPORT VIGIL ACROSS FROM FSP ON FEBRUARY 4th. day four of the strike. Gather between 4 and 5:00 in front of New River East. Bring cameras, posters, and a spirit of peace. Suggestion: Use the Complaints and Resolutions of the prisoners for mottos for your signs. Visualize enlightenment.
Need volunteers who can help Hannah Floyd prepare press packets.

We at Fdrag have received the following letter from inmates at Q wing at Florida State Prison. They are going on a hunger strike to protest and hopefully change the conditions that exist on Q wing. The men are hungry and deprived of contact with the outside world for years at a time, which is not in accordance with the rules. Please read the words from the inmates yourself, then please sign the petition. Thanks, Hannah Floyd
