Your letter dated December 28, 2000 has been received and reviewed.

On January 4, 2001, the Assistant Warden of Operations, Mr. Cox, personally initiated an inquiry into your allegations.  You alleged that a conspiracy exists with staff at Okeechobee Correctional Institution on you due to you filing grievances, resulted into a bogus disciplinary report, reviewed for Close Management status, being deprived of meals, and threats by staff.

A review of your confinement documentation indicates that you are being fed every meal since your placement in confinement.  It is documented that your alleged missed court deadline due to late notary services may have some merit, but can not be proven.  You were not able to prove to Mr. Cox that a deadline with the court was violated.  There was an irregular schedule for notary in confinement, due to an OPS Assistant Librarian that removed your documentation from the confinement unit to be notarized at another location.  This is not pursuant to notary regulations.  I assure you this mishap will not occur in the future.

Based upon insufficient evidence and staff denial, your allegation on staff conspiracy can not be proven.  Your request to be interviewed by the institutional inspector, Mr. Bess, is scheduled for January 8, 2001.
