Originally when Mickey was to slay the dragon, he was going to walk on the water in the lagoon and get the sword, then rise up into the air on a pillar of water. Michael Eisner apparently felt that this would have religious implications and decided to pull the plug on that idea.
Chalk up a point for Michael! The idea of Mickey walking on water would even have been a little much for me, not to mention just about every church around the world. It sounds like it would have looked cool though. Mickey now stays on the ground and dry land.
Some say the left side of the mountain looks like the head of Mufasa from the Lion King. Honestly I can see what people said they have seen, but I still think it may just be a coincidence.
