The new Disney hotel, Pop Century Resort, is the latest value resort to be added to the Walt Disney World Resort. The hotel has had many setbacks in it's construction, but the first side is now open and the second side, "phase two", is underway. The resort sections are based on different decades over the last century. Icons from each decade are placed around the rooms in a very large scale. And along the tops of the buildings are slogans from those years. The rooms have been pretty full thus far, so plan early if you want to see this latest addition to the orlando resort.
If your planning on dinning in the new resort you can go to the Classic Hall Food Court located on the property. The Court will serve sandwiches, hotdogs, salads and more. Also in the Classic Hall will be a cafe. And if you are enjoying your day by the pool, Petals Pool Bar will also be open.

The buildings are covered with sayings from the different decades. Also on the hotel rooms are giant pictures and icons such as dancers, Barbi, a computer, a jukebox, the Mickey Mouse Phone, and even Baloo from The Jungle Book. |
