CHAPTER 4 – THINKING OF YOU

Nick had just gotten home from his walk down the beach. He loved the beach; it was a good place to think. And what had he thought about? Taylor, he just couldn’t get her out of his mind and it was driving him crazy. "She is just a girl you met at a video shoot," he kept thinking but it didn’t work.

He walked into the camper where Brian was sitting, playing solitaire. "Hey B-Rok" Nick smiled.

"Hi Chaos" Brian smiled. "Where have you been?" "Out taking a walk" Nick said and sat down next to Brian. "You seem to take a lot of walks lately," Brian said. "Nothing’s the matter, right?" "No, nothing’s the matter" Nick said, a bit hesitating. "Come on, Nick" Brian said. "I’m your friend. I can see when something is bothering you. What is it?" "Well, promise you won’t tell anyone yet?" Nick asked. "Sure" Brian said.

"Do you remember the girl at the video shoot today?" Nick asked. "You have to be a little more specific" Brian smiled. "There were a lot of girls today"

"You know who I mean, the one we talked to inhere?" Nick said. "Sure. Taylor. She was nice," Brian said. "Yeah, see that’s just the thing" Nick said.

"She was really nice and I would like to see her again, but I don’t know how to get in touch with her" "Oh so you think she was nice, ha?" Brian smiled. "Come on, man. This is serious," Nick said.

"I thought you weren’t over Amber yet," Brian said. "Yeah, me too" Nick sighed.

"Oh my God, this is so confusing!".

Brian couldn’t help but laughing. "What are you laughing about?" Nick asked. "This is just so amusing" Brian laughed. "What a situation you’ve gotten yourself into" "Well" Nick started grinning, and pretty soon they were both laughing. When they both calmed down again, Nick said: "Do you think that I can get in touch with her somehow? I can’t walk around wondering all the time" "Sure you can get in touch with her" Brian said. "I can?!!" Nick said. "How?" "Ask the agency who hired her to give you her number. I’m sure they’ll give it to you" "Yeah, that’s it!!" Nick said, smiling. "Of course, that’s it. Thanx Frick, you’ve been a big help" "No problem Frack" Brian smiled. "Now go in and get some sleep. We have to get early up tomorrow" "Okay Mom, but I haven’t brushed my teeth yet" Nick said with a baby voice.

"Oh shut up!" Brian said and Nick walked grinning into his room.

Nick laid down on the bed and stared into the sealing. Once again Taylor popped into his mind.

"I’m getting insane," Nick said to himself. "I’m definitely getting insane. They’ll put me in the crazy factory soon" Then he laid down on the side. He had to get some sleep now, but Taylor kept appearing before his eyes. He had to talk to her, and he would do it tomorrow to sort out this thing with her. Either this thing was going somewhere or there would be nothing between them at all, but he believed most in the first thing, or rather hoped. Suddenly he thought of Amber and got extremely bitter. She was no good at all. He hoped that Taylor wasn’t like that, but then again...why would she be? He hoped never to meet Amber again, and closed his eyes thinking of Taylor.

"Hi girlfriend" Summer shouted. "Hey, girls. Wzup?" I said and showed them in. "Well, we still don’t know why Charlotte dragged us over here. She wouldn’t tell us" Rachel said, glancing at Charlotte.

"It’s a surprise!" Charlotte smiled. "Let’s go in the living room" I said. "Nobody’s home and I’ve already made the tea" We all sat into the living room and when I’d poured tea for everyone, Summer said:

"So what is it that is so exciting that you couldn’t tell right away?" Just as I was about to speak, the phone rang. "Don’t answer!" Charlotte said. "Are you crazy!" I said. "It could be something important"

I picked up the phone and said "Taylor speaking"

"Hi this is Nick" a beautiful voice said, which I recognized right away. I nearly fainted, but I had to stay calm. "Hi, how are you doing?" "Oh, I’m fine thank you and you?" he said. "Couldn’t be better" I smiled. "I’m surprised to hear from you though. How did you get my number?" "I checked at the place that hired you for the shoot. I hope you don’t mind, I just wanted to talk to you" "No I don’t mind," I said. "Was they’re anything in particular you’d like to talk about?" "Yeah, actually there is," he said shyly. He sounded so sweet when he was shy, but I wonder how I sounded. Probably like a lunatic with all that stuttering!

"I’ve been thinking of you and I called cuz I’d like to see you again," Nick finally said. "Oh, I see" I said, a bit stunned. Nick Carter would like to see me!!! That was amazing. "Well, I would like that very much too" I smiled. "Good" he said. He sounded relieved. "When is it appropriate for you?" I asked. "How about Friday" he said.

"Are you free?" "Ya" I said. "Okay, I’ll come pick you up around 7PM" "That sounds great" I smiled. Then the girls started to make commotion. "Do you have company?" Nick asked. "Ya, it’s just some of my friends, who has come for a visit" I said. "Who is it?" they started whispering.

"Well, say hi from me" Nick said. "I will" I smiled. "I’m looking forward to see you"

"Me too" Nick said. "I’ll see you soon" "Ya" "Goodbye" "Goodbye" I said and laid down the phone.

"That was Nick Carter" I said.

"Yeah, sure he did" Summer said sarcastically.

"Why would he call you?" Rachel asked. "That’s because you haven’t heard my story" I said. I told my story and Rachel and Summer just sat speechless and listened.

Then, suddenly all the girls started screaming, I almost went deaf, but I started screaming along.

"OH MY GOD!!! NICK CARTER!!! HE CALLED YOU!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"By the way, I was suppose to say hi from him" I finally said when we’d all calmed down.

"Hi from who?" Summer said. "Nick, stupid!" Rachel said. "Nick?" Summer said. "Were you suppose to say hi from Nick. To us? Nick has said hi to me!" "Relax, Summer" I said. "Maybe you’ll meet him sometime" "Why. Are you seeing him again?" Charlotte asked. "Ya, he asked me out this Friday" I screamed. Everyone started screaming along with me.

This was so great!!

When Charlotte, Rachel and Summer had left I went up to check my calendar. It was Wednesday, so there was 3 days till the date. The date, he had actually asked me out on a date! I turned on my stereo to listen to my favorite song. Once again I threw myself o the bed and stared up in the sealing. "I wonder what Nick is doing right now?" I thought.

"So how did it go, man?" Brian asked. Nick had just gotten home. "Well, I got over to the agency"

Nick said. "And they were happy to give me her number. Then I called her from a telephone booth to ask her and she said yes" "That’s great pal" Brian smiled.

"You really seem to like her" "Yeah, I really do" Nick said. "And it’s really strange. I’ve only met her once" "It’s not strange at all" Brian said.

"I only had to look at some of my previous girlfriends once to know that I was in love" "In love?" Nick said with a strange look. "You don’t think that I’m in love do you?"

"Well, to tell you the truth, I don’t know" Brian said. "You haven’t mentioned Amber even once since you met Taylor and you used to talk about her all the time" "Ya, you’re right" Nick said.

I’ll see how it goes on Friday" "Yeah" Brian said.

"Hey, what are you guys doing?" Kevin said and sat down. "Well, I was just telling Brian about my date on Friday" Nick said. "Oh, really" Kevin said. "With Amber?" "No, with Taylor. Remember her?" Nick said. "Sure, she was here on the video shoot. She was nice, but I thought you weren’t over Amber yet?" "That’s exactly what I said," Brian said. "It seems to be love a first sight" "Oh, will you guys give me a break!" Nick said. Both Kevin and Brian started laughing.

"Hey, what’s going on?" AJ asked, coming out of his room. "Oh, were just teasing Nick about his date on Friday" Kevin smiled. "Oh really! With Amber" AJ asked. "Why does everyone assume that I’m going on a date with Amber?" Nick said. "I’m going on a date with Taylor" "From the video shoot?" AJ asked. "Ya" Nick said. "She was lovely," AJ said with one of his naughty smiles. "Does she have a sister?" Now Brian and Kevin started laughing again.
