You both said the words “I Do”
Whoever could have dreamed
Of the trials you’d go through?
You’ve been through disappointments
And many hardships through the years
I pray it brings you ever closer
Though you’ve shed so many tears.
And though many would have given in
You’ve stood the course it seems
And never have you given up
On all your hopes and dreams!
So if I could have my wish for you
It would be that your load grows lighter
And the days would be filled with love so true
That it would make your pathway brighter.
That the two of you would cling to each other
So that whenever those heartaches come
You’d both remember the day you wed
And the two of you became as “one”.
