Sami's First Plane Ride
On July 12th 2004 I got to fly on an airplane for the very
first time. I flew with my Nannie Kitchene and Ninne Dunn
up to see my Aunt Teresa(Aunt T), Uncle Mike(Unky Mikey),
Bree(B), and Mason (Macey). Nannie said I was SO GOOD on
the trip. I went to sleep about 5 minutes after we were up
in the air!
Here are a couple of pictures that Nannie took
of me at the airport in Orlando. It was lots of fun
watching all the big planes take off. Soon it would be
my turn to fly up up and away or in my language "uppidy".
Unky Mikey picked us up at the airport and we went to
State Farm to get my Aunt T. She was so happy to see me!
When we got to Aunt T's we had a real big surprise
My Uncle Shane (Unky Sane) had come in from California to surprise us and was it ever a GREAT surprise! It even
surprised my Aunt T, no one but Unky Mikey knew he
was coming to visit. Below is a picture of him with me
and one with my cousin "B".
I played with "B" and she held me upside down. It was
lots of fun. I'm a big tomboy! I kept wanting her to
do it again. Nannie took me out to see Rylee Roo and
guess what? She likes bubbles too, she chased them. I
giggled and thought it was funny!
B and I had fun blowing bubbles,it's one of my favorite
things to do. I even had fun at bathtime! I always like splashing my Nannie and getting her all wet. She just
laughs when I do; she has as much fun as me I bet!
I really hated to take time to nap but a girls gotta do
what a girls gotta do. Then it was almost time to go pick
up Aunt T. She wanted to show me off to some of her State
Farm friends and co-workers but I had a little time to "hang
out" with my cousin Macey first.
I'd tell Macey to "sit" and he always had time to play
with me. (I think he loves me). He and a friend named
Caleb went out to play basketball. Aunt T got a picture
of me at the kitchen window yelling at him to come "pa tak"
which translated means "come back".
Most of the time it was hard to get really GOOD pics of
me cause I'd hide my face or turn my head but I decided
to pose for this one so they'd quit taking pictures for a
while. HA HA! OH OH, here they go again. Just when a
girl thought it was safe to play!
Here I am having a chat with Bree. It was just "girl
talk", can't really share it with you all. My Aunt T
just really really loves me a lot! She loves to cuddle
me but I'm just on the go too much most of the time so
she just cuddled me to sleep one night. Tricky huh?
A friend of Bree's is named Sam too. WOW! I really could
"relate" to her. Unky Shane and I had to have a "private"
chat too. Couldn't leave him out, I've bewitched him too.
Must be my winning personality! Or maybe my cute smile!
Unky Mikey got in on the action too. He acts tough
but I think I have him right where I want him, wrapped
right around my little finger! I had to take time to cuddle
with Ninnie Dunn too. She "saved" me when Unky Mikey was
chasing me to get a hug. YUCK hugs!
Unky John came to visit and brought Haley and Jenny.
He even let me play with his hat. Everyone thought it was
funny though when he layed down to nap with a pink blankie.
Unky Shane had a good talk with him about it though and I
think he explained that BOYS don't have pink blankies!
But maybe HE isn't the one who should talk to Unky John
after all! Take a look at the picture of him below. Here's Ninnie posing with us girls. She's surrounded by love!!!
When we went to the park to play, Unky John had even more
fun than the kids did! We could hardly get him off his "toy"
to go back home. Had to start walking off without him.
Sometimes it's hard to wake Macey up. Unky Shane carried
him downstairs and he still slept on.
The time to leave came all too soon. It would be good to
see Mommy, Daddy, Nannie and all my family in Florida but
I know Aunt T and everyone up here will miss me as I will
them. I hope they can come visit me soon in Florida and
maybe someday I can come back up here to see them!
Well, I hope you've had fun looking at some of the fun
times from my trip. I just loved riding on the big airplane.
When it left the ground I said "oh oh". I was such a good
girl for my Nannie and Ninnie. I think I can even persuade
them to travel with me again some time. Bye now!!!
