Chapter Six

Please title this page. (Page 2)

I felt someone shaking me and heard a faint voice. I finally recognized it as Kate. Yuck!

"Alessandra, will you wake up?!" She whined.

She did not just call me Alessandra!

"I’m up. Just give me a sec." I snapped. I sat up and noticed I was in a hotel room. When’d I get here?

"Sorry, it just took you forever to get up."

"I was exhausted. Oh, and Kate there is one thing you have to know about me. Never, and I mean never call me Alessandra! You can call me Les or Lessie, but NOT Alessandra. Got it?"

"Yeah, I got it. Sorry about that, it was the only thing I knew how to wake you."

"It’s ok. Just don’t do it again. Um, how did I get in this hotel room? Last I remember, I fell asleep on the bus."

"Oh, we got here a while ago and the guys didn’t want to leave you on the bus. So, Brian and Kevin brought you up here. Bri told me to wake you up and see if you wanted to go to the show tonight. It starts in 2 hours."

"Sure, I’d love to go. I’ll go get ready."

I got up and went into the bathroom. That bitch woke me up. How dare Brian send her up here to get me! Oh well, I’ll deal. He’ll figure it out one of these days.

I got into the shower, and about 20 minutes later, I finished and got out. I dried myself off and went out into the room in a towel. Kate was gone, thank god. I went through my suitcase and got out my dark blue jeans and a baby blue tank top. I got dressed; towel dried my hair, and brushed it. I was about to walk into the bathroom to fix my hair and do my makeup when there was a knock on my door. I walked over to it, unlocked it, and opened it. Seeing Kristin standing there.

"Hi girl. I see you’re up and ready." She walked in behind me.

"Up, but not quite ready yet. You wanna know who woke me up?"

"Who?"

"That bitch Kate Lopez. And she had the nerve of calling me Alessandra. You know how much I hate being called that."

"Dude, she doesn’t understand anything. She calls Brian, Bri bri and he hates that."

"If he hates it, why does he let her call him that then?"

"I don’t have a clue. I guess he wants to see the good in her. He’s been in so many messed up relationships and has had his heart broken so many times. He wants a good relationship for once, I think he wants to find the one and get married."

"Yeah, I know. But I think he’s just settling for any girl that seems interested in him. He needs to realize that Kate is a fake."

"With your help, I think he will."

"My help? He won’t listen to me. We didn’t talk for a whole week and a half because he thought I was lying about all that shit. If I was lying, I wouldn’t have felt guilty and would have been able to sleep."

"He hasn’t realized that yet, but he will."

"I gotta think of something to do to get him to listen and believe me."

"If there was a way to record her phone conversations, that could be a way."

That sprung an idea in my head.

"That’s it. We’ll record her conversations. If he hears if from her, that way he may actually believe me and you guys. Thanx Kristin!" I hugged her and she laughed at me.

"You’re welcome, Lessie. Glad I could help."

I finished my makeup and hair and got my shoes on. I was finished with getting ready, and we could head down to the stadium.

"Alright, I’m all ready. Let’s go."

Kristin and I left the room and we went downstairs. There was a limo waiting outside for us.

"There are many luxuries for being Mrs. Kevin Richardson." She smiled proudly.

"Yes, I would have to completely agree with you on that one." I laughed. I was enjoying this limo stuff. All the nice things the guys and their guest received. It was awesome.

We were about to the stadium, when my cell phone rang.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey baby, what’s up?" It was Shawn. I smiled.

"Not much. Just on my way to the stadium with Kristin. How are you?"

"I’m just fine. Though I do miss you tons."

"Yeah, I know. But hey, I’ll be home sooner than you think."

"True. And that will be the happiest day ever."

"Yep, it will be."

"So, how’s the story ideas coming along?"

"Nil. I haven’t gotten a single idea and the ones I do get fizzle and don’t turn into anything."

"That sucks. I thought this trip would help."

"I’m sure that it will eventually. It’s only been 3 and a half weeks. Nothing has happened yet, but just wait. Something will spark a great idea and I’ll be writing galore."

I heard him laugh on the other end and I smiled at the sound of his laugh.

"I hope so, baby. Well, I just wanted to call to say hey. Tell the guys I wish them luck. I’ll talk to you later. Take care. Love ya. Bye."

"Love ya too. Bye babe." I hung up just as we arrived at the stadium.

"Prefect timing or what?" I asked, laughing.

"Or what. But that’s just me." Kristin giggled.

"Whatever, Kris. You are strange. But then again, you married Kevin, so that explains a lot"

"Hey, what’s that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing." I said innocently.

We got out of the limo and started walking to the door. We were almost there, when I felt Kristin push me.

"Hey, whatcha do that for?"

"No reason." She just continued walking inside.

I ran up behind her and playfully pushed her back.

"Dude, I don’t like you anymore."

"Good, coz I don’t like you either." I kept on walking, but wasn’t really paying attention to where I was walking.

"Les, watch out!" I heard Kristin yell, but it was too late. BOOM everything went black.

I woke up with a killer headache. I opened my eyes, but closed them again quickly, because the light was too bright.

"Hey look, she’s waking up." I heard AJ say.

"It’s too bright." I mumbled.

"Can you turn that light out?" I heard Kevin ask. I heard someone turn a light out.

"Is that any better?" Kristin asked. I opened my eyes and I could actually keep them open.

"What happened? I’ve got the worst headache." I reached up to touch my head and felt a bandage there.

"You weren’t watching where you were walking, and you walked into a part of the stage two-crew members were carrying. You hit your head pretty hard and have a concussion. You’re not allowed to go to sleep until tomorrow." Kristin explained.

"That’s ok. Doesn’t affect me much."

"Oki, you gotta pay more attention where you’re walking more often when you’re backstage." Kevin warned.

"Yeah, it’s true, you do. Ask Brian, he’s hit his head on so many things, it’s not even funny." Nick teased, laughing.

"Hey man, you’re one to talk. You’ve hit your head more than any of us combined." Brian retorted.

"Man, y’all are a trip." I started laughing, but then my head started hurting worse. "Owe, that hurts." I winced in pain.

"Don’t make her laugh, you guys." Kevin scolded.

"Sorry, we didn’t mean to make you hurt more." Brian apologized. He looked like a little kid who just got into trouble. It was too cute.

"It’s ok. It doesn’t hurt that bad, honest." I smiled at him and he smiled back.

"Ok."

"What about the show? You guys didn’t cancel it on account of me did you?"

"Nope, we didn’t. We finished it about 3 hours ago." Howie answered.

"Oh, I missed it?" I pouted.

"Les, it wasn’t any different. You didn’t miss anything." Kevin said.

"I know, but I was just looking forward to seeing you guys tonight."

"You can see us tomorrow night. Do you think you can walk?" Nick asked.

"Yeah, maybe." I started to stand up, but was over come with dizziness, making me sit again.

"Ok, I lied. I don’t think I can."

"Ok, that’s fine. I’ll carry you." Brian said and started to pick me up.

"No, I don’t think so. I’m too much to carry."

"Les, it’s the only way to get you on the bus safely. Please." Brian did his puppy dog eyes ate me and I couldn’t say no.

"Fine, but I don’t like this."

He picked me up and started walking out of the room. We were at the stadium still. We walked outside and over to the bus. AJ, Nick, Howie, Kevin, Kristin, Bianca, Niki, and Shayla followed behind Brian and I.

"Hey, where’s Kate?"

"She was tried, so she came on the bus to get some sleep."

"Oh, ok." Right, I’m sure. She just wanted to call her other boyfriend and play more ways of stealing more of Brian’s money.

I needed a tape recorder and needed one soon.

"So, where do you want me to put you?"

"In the kitchen. I’m gonna play around on my laptop. Maybe write any ideas that come to mind."

"Ok, sounds good." He carried me onto the bus, into the kitchen and gently set me down at the table.

"Thank you very much."

"You’re welcome very much."

Everyone else walked on the bus and into the kitchen.

"Well, y’all look exhausted. I think you should go to bed." I told them.

"OK, so who’s gonna stay in here with Les?" Kevin asked.

"No one, because I’m gonna be fine. I can stay awake. I’ve done it before."

"Les, you should have some company." Kristin said.

"I do my computer. I need to check my email and believe me, that will keep me busy."

"Fine, but if you need anything, just call and one of us will come." Howie said.

"Ok, will do. Thanks, all of you, for everything."

"You’re welcome Les. Anytime." Shayla smiled.

"Go get some sleep." I ordered.

"Yes ma’am. Night."

They all hugged me and left to go to their bunks. I opened my laptop and went online to check my email. It took me most of the night/morning to read and reply to all of my online friends. I emailed Janie about the idea Kristin gave me and how I could finally convince Brian that Kate was using him.

I then emailed Shawn and told him how things were going. And that I missed him terribly and that I had no ideas yet. I sent the email to Shawn.

Writer’s block seriously sucks. It’s just blank, writing is my life, and I can’t even write a single thing. I opened Word Processor. I decided to write a letter, to no one in particular, though. Just felt like writing a letter.

Dear no one,

I’m writing this at 5:45am, because I have nothing better to do. And since writing is a part of my life. I thought I’d write a letter, just for the hell of it. I’m sitting in the kitchen, very small kitchen, of a tour bus of one of the most popular bands out there. I’m here to try and get ideas for a story. I’ve had writer’s block for the longest time, and it is beginning to piss me off. I’m not sure why I’m having this major block, there is no specific reason as to why it’s happening. Just no reason for it. Maybe one day I’ll figure it out, and be able to write again. Let’s hope anyway.

So, here I sit, on this quiet bus. Staying awake, because I hit my head and have a concussion and I’m not allowed to sleep until later tonight. Doesn’t bother me none, because while I’ve been on this trip, I’ve had major insomnia. Haven’t been able to sleep. Due to stress from not writing, different time zones, traveling, and guilt. What is the guilt from? Well, my new ‘best friend’ Brian has a girlfriend named Kate, who is completely cheating on him and using him. Full on using him and he doesn’t even see it. And doesn’t want to believe me or anyone else. So, we got into this whole fight about it and I didn’t sleep for almost 2 weeks. But we then talked and are ok. But he still thinks Kate is being completely faithful. But Kristin gave me this brilliant idea, to record her conversation, as proof. Then he’ll finally figure that she’s no good and dump her ass. Well, hopefully anyway.

Oh, and I miss my boyfriend, Shawn. He’s all the way in Florida and I’m on a bus heading some where. I lost track a long time ago. We were in Kansas City, but I dunno where we’re going now. Doesn’t much matter anyway.

Well, I’m done talking now. So I shall end this here. Bye.
