Chapter Four

Please title this page. (Page 7)

It was Wednesday, the day the girls were flying to Orlando. They weren’t leaving ‘til noon, that afternoon. And it was now 8:00am. Jade came in from shopping, she had to get new suitcases.

"Hey, I’m home." Jade called.

"Good for you." Laura yelled back from her room.

"Laura, I’m gonna kick your ass."

"I know, that’s why you love me."

Jade just laughed and walked back into her and Stevie’s room. And when she walked in, she was hit in the head with a shirt.

"Wow, what a welcome."

Stevie came out of the closet with a pile of clothes in her arms.

"Sorry, did I hit you with the shirt?"

"Yeah, you did. But it’s ok, I’ll live. Dude, you don’t have to bring your whole freakin’ wardrobe."

"Well, you never know where we’ll go. Plus, Florida is supposed to have some pretty good clubs."

"Oh yeah. That’s right. But I’m not helping you with your bags."

"Don’t worry, you’re not gonna. Laura and Ro are."

Jade laughed at her and began packing her stuff.

Rosie, Aurora, and Laura had the radio on while they were packing. ‘Lady Marmalade’ by Pink, Mya, Christina, and Lil’ Kim came on. Laura turned it up and the 3 of them lip sank to it. It ended and they started laughing.

"Dude, we’re nuts." Aurora laughed.

"But it’s all good." Rosie said.

"Totally." Laura agreed.

The next song that came one was ‘Pop’ by Nsync.

"Oh my god! It’s Nsync!" Rosie said sarcastically.

Aurora and Laura just laughed.

11:00 came and all the girls were finally packed. The limo driver called and said he was waiting outside. They brought their luggage downstairs and he put it into the trunk. They locked their apartment and went back downstairs.

"Florida, watch out, coz here we come!" Stevie yelled out through the hall. They went downstairs and climbed into the limo, which took them to the airport.

"I could so get used to this." Rosie said, playing with the radio in the limo. The girls nodded in agreement.

15 minutes later they arrived at the airport. They checked in and walked towards the gate.

"We’re going to Orlando; we’re going to Orlando!" They sang as they walked to their gate.

They gave their tickets to the flight attendant and got onto the plane and took their seats.

"This is our future, ladies!" Stevie exclaimed.

"And I can’t wait ‘til it gets started!" Rosie screamed.

"Florida here we come!" Laura said.

They settled down as the light for the seatbelts came on. Laura, Rosie, and Aurora got their Discmans out and listened to their CDs. Jade got a magazine out and flipped through it and Stevie took out her latest romance book and began reading the next chapter.

Two hours later they arrived at Orlando International. They grabbed their belongings and walked off the plane. They saw a man that had a sign saying ‘Angel Dreams’.

"That’s us." Jade said. They walked up to him.

"Hi, we’re Angel Dreams." Aurora said to the man.

"Hi, my name is Rob and I’ll be your escort. What are each of your names?"

"I’m Jade."

"I’m Aurora."

"I’m Stevie."

"I’m Rosie."

"And I’m Laura."

"Ok, Jade, Aurora, Stevie, Rosie, and Laura. Are you ready to go to your hotel?"

"Yep, let’s go." Stevie replied.

They went to baggage claim and got their suitcases and left the airport. There was a limo outside the airport waiting for them.

"Like I said before, I could seriously get used to this." Rosie said, getting in last.

Rob drove them to their hotel, which was one of those huge, expensive, fancy ones.

"Holy shit! Are they trying to spoil us or something?" Jade asked, amazed by the hotel.

"I don’t know, but I’m loving this." Aurora said.

They got out and checked in. Rob helped them carry their luggage to their rooms and then left. They had 2 rooms, 3 of them would stay in one and 2 in the other. The two rooms connected.

"Ok, who wants to share with who?" Jade asked.

"We can do it like we normally do. Rosie, Laura, and I in one room, Stevie and Jade in the other." Aurora suggested.

"That’s fine." They all agreed.

Laura, Rosie, and Aurora went into one room, and Stevie and Jade stayed in the other. Each room had two queen-sized beds, a huge bay window, a living/lounge area, a kitchen, and a huge bathroom, with a Jacuzzi tub. They all were loving it.

The phone in Jade and Stevie’s room started ringing. Stevie was closer to it, so she answered.

"Hello, Stevie speaking."

"Hello Stevie. I see you ladies made it safely. This is Rick at Jive. Just letting you know you’re free to do what you like tonight and tomorrow morning at 9:00am, the 5 of you are to meet at Jive to go over the contract."

"Ok, we’ll be there promptly at 9. Thank you, Rick."

"And thank you, Stevie. See you ladies tomorrow morning."

"Yep, ‘til tomorrow. Bye."

"Bye."

Stevie hung up the phone and looked at the four girls in the room.

"That was Rick at Jive. We can do what we want tonight and we have to meet at Jive tomorrow morning, promptly at 9am."

"Alright, sounds good to me. So, what do you want to do tonight?" Rosie asked.

"I’m not sure. What is there to do in Orlando?" Laura asked.

"There’s Disney, Universal, Islands of Adventure, Wet ‘n Wild." Jade started listing all the theme parks.

"Jade, hon. It’s 2:30 in the afternoon. There won’t be much time to do anything at the theme parks." Stevie said.

"Oh yeah. That’s true. Then I dunno. You figure out something."

"Jade, you lived here. You should know what there is to do." Aurora said.

"Ro, I lived in Tampa, not Orlando. There’s the beach, but that’s like 30 minutes away."

"Hold up, I have an idea. Why don’t we go downstairs, get a cab, and ask someone what there is that we can do?" Laura suggested.

"Sounds good." Aurora agreed. The rest of them shook their head in agreement.

They went downstairs, got a cab, and squeezed in.

"Where to ladies?" The cabbie asked.

"We don’t know. What is there to do in Orlando?" Rosie asked.

"There’s City Walk. It has a bunch of stores and restaurants."

"Ok, sounds good." Jade replied.

The cab driver took them to City Walk. They got there, paid the driver, and got out of the cab. It was right next to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. They walked down the sidewalk to the entrance.

"This place is so cool. It’s got everything just about." Laura said.

It had a bunch of restaurants and little shops. Not everything, though.

"Hey look, there’s a movie theater. Let’s go see a movie to pass time." Aurora suggested.

"Ok"

They walked over to the movie theater and looked at the list of movies.

"Let’s see. There’s ‘A knight’s tale’, & ‘The Mummy Returns’. Well, those are the ones that look good anyway." Laura said.

"Hmm....I say ‘A Knight’s Tale’." Rosie suggested.

They nodded and bought their tickets and went inside. The movie started and 3 hours later it finished and when they walked out of the theater, it was dark.

"That was a great movie. Heath Ledger is just hot!" Stevie said.

"Most definitely!" Jade agreed.

They got hungry and went to a restaurant. They were seated and ordered their food. Their food came and they began to eat.

"This trip is gonna be so much fun." Rosie said.

"Totally. I can’t wait ‘til tomorrow." Aurora replied.

"We can’t either."

They finished and paid their bill. They left the restaurant. They walked along the sidewalk and Rosie spotted a club/restaurant that she wanted to go into.

"Hey you guys. Look, there’s a karaoke bar. We should sing something."

"Hello Rosie, I’m only 17. I can’t get into bars." Laura refreshed Rosie’s mind.

"Well, if they don’t let us in. We’ll just do it out here." She walked up to the doorman.

"Hi, can you let us in?"

"Depends. Ages?"

"She’s 17, we’re 18, she’s 19, and she’s 20." She pointed to each of them.

"Sorry, you have to be 21 to get in."

"Look, all we want to do is sing karaoke."

"21."

"Fine, if you wont let us in, we’ll do it out here and take the crowd away from the bar cause you to lose money."

"Ok, fine. But sing one song and that’s it."

She smiled and the 5 of them went inside. They looked through the songs.

"Hey, we should do ‘All or nothing’ by Otown. Jade can be her Ashley, Stevie can be Trevor, Rosie can be Jacob, Laura can be Dan and I’ll be Erik." Aurora suggested.

"Alright, let’s do it." Rosie agreed. They picked the song and got up on stage.

"Hey everybody. We’re gonna do a song by Otown, called ‘All or nothing’. Hope y’all like it." Stevie said.

The music began and Laura got ready to sing the first verse.

Oooh

I know when he’s been on your mind

That distant look is in your eyes

I thought with time you’d realize

It’s over, over

It’s not the way I choose to live

And something somewheres got to give

As sharing this relationship

Gets older, older

Aurora started her part...

You know I’d fight for you

But how can I fight someone

Who isn’t even there

I’ve had the rest of you

Now I want the best of you

I don’t care if that’s not fair

They did the chorus together...

Cause I want it all

Or nothing at all

There’s not where left to fall

When you reach the bottom

It’s now or never

Is it all

Or are we just friends

Is this how it ends

With a simple telephone call

You leave me here

With nothing at all

Jade began the 3rd verse...

There are times it seems to me

I’m sharing you with memories

I feel it in my heart

But I don’t show it, show it

Aurora joined her...

And then there’s times you look at me

As though I’m all that you can see

Those times I don’t believe it’s right

I know it, know it

Stevie did the 4th verse...

Don’t make me promises

Baby you never did know

How to keep them well

I’ve had the rest of you

Now I want the best of you

It’s time for show and tell

They did the chorus again...

Rosie did the next verse...

Cause you and I

Could lose it all

If you’ve got no more room

No room inside

For me in your life

Laura sang again...

Cause I want it all

Or nothing at all

There’s no where left to fall

It’s now or never

They did the chorus a last time...

Cause I want it all

Or nothing at all

There’s not where left to fall

When you reach the bottom

It’s now or never

Is it all

Or are we just friends

Is this how it ends

With a simple telephone call

You leave me here

With nothing at all...

The song finished and the whole bar was filled with applause. They were overwhelmed at how many people were in there, the amount doubled when they were in there. They didn’t think they did that well, but with the amount of applause, they guessed they did. They bowed and got off stage.

"Wow, that was awesome. Are you a group or something?" A man asked.

"Sort of. We just do this for fun." Jade answered.

"Well you did great."

They thanked him and left the bar.

"Wow, that was great. Never thought we did that good." Aurora said, half believing that crowd.

"That crowd was unbelievable." Laura replied.

"Totally. I can’t believe it. Orlando rocks! We never got that good of a crowd in Chicago." Stevie said.

"They know their music in FL, I guess. Since like BSB, Nsync, LFO, Mandy Moore, Britney Spears, and Otown came from here." Jade responded.

"Yeah, I guess."

They hung around City Walk a few more hours and then went back to the hotel. It was 1:30 when they got back. They were tired and had to get up early. They changed and went to bed, waiting and anticipating the next morning to come...
