Laura:
There was a knock at my door and I looked at the clock on my bedside table. 3:15am it read. Who the hell was knocking on my door at 3 in the morning? Some psycho person! I rolled out of bed, turning the light on and walking out of my bedroom and to the front door of my apartment. I opened the peephole and saw the person who I haven’t seen in months. I screamed and opened the door, jumped on him and gave him the biggest hug ever!
"Howie! Oh my god! You’re here!"
"Yeah, I thought I’d surprise you." He laughed a little are her excited ness.
"You surprised me alright! I wasn’t expecting you for a whole nother month. What are you doing here so early?"
"We finished the tour earlier, and were allowed to go on vacation early. So, I flew here as soon as I could and this is where I am now."
"Wow, you’re the best boyfriend ever!" I kissed him lightly on the lips and then got off him and we walked into the living room of my apartment, closing the door.
Howie, as you know, lives in Orlando, Florida. I live in Perth, Australia, Well, only for like part of the year. I just come home every so often when I miss my family or friends, and when Howie is on tour with the other guys. We’ve been going out for about 6 months now, if you don’t count the months that he’s been gone, that is. It’s longer if you count those, but we decided not, just coz we didn’t want to. I met him when I was on vacation in Florida last year, and we clicked. And he’s the best boyfriend I’ve had in the longest time and I’m so glad that I have him.
"Laura, hun are you ok?" I heard him ask. I guess I dazed out for a few there. I snapped back to reality.
"Yeah, I’m fine. Sorry, got lost in my thoughts. But I’m just so happy that you’re here. I missed you so much." I gushed, smiling from ear to ear. He just smiled back.
"I missed you so much too. That’s why I got here so soon."
"Well, I’m happy about that. You have got to be exhausted. Let’s go to bed and then we can talk tomorrow and you can tell me all about the tour and I’ll tell you everything that’s been going on here."
"That’s fine with me. I’m about to fall asleep anyway."
I grabbed his hand, and went into the bedroom. He put his suitcase down and we climbed into bed. Shortly later we fell asleep.
Amanda:
I was on my way to pick up Brian at the airport. He and the rest of the guys finished the US/Canada part of the tour and had a 2-month break, before they had to go to Europe. I drove my silver ‘98 Mitsubishi Eclipse into the parking garage of MCO and found a parking space. I parked and got out of the car. I walked and got onto the elevators and went to the 3rd floor, and walked to the gate that his plane was arriving at.
I had to wait about 15 minutes ‘til his plane arrived, so I sat down and found a magazine. I flipped through it, while I waited. I then heard them calling over the intercom that his flight had just arrived. I got up and walked to the door, and stood back as the people came off the plane. I watched and waited for him to come off. I finally saw him, and ran up to him.
"Brian! I missed you so much!" I screamed. He looked up and smiled and dropped his backpack and opened his arms. I ran into them and hugged him.
"I missed to too, Amanda! I’m so glad to be back home!" He sighed.
"How was your flight?"
"It was ok, but you know me. I’m not too keen on flying."
"Yep, I know. Let’s get you home and you can relax."
"Sounds good to me." He picked up his bag, and grabbed my hand and we walked to the baggage claim area. We got his 3 huge suitcases and walked out to my car, stuffing them into the trunk of my car and got in. I drove to his house and parked in his driveway. Got his things out and we went inside.
"What do you want to do?" I asked, as I put his suitcase I was holding in the foyer.
"Well, not unpack. I’ll do that later. Um, let’s call Nick and AJ and see what they want to do. They got home yesterday."
"Ok, you call them and ask is Dani wants to come too."
"Don’t worry, I won’t forget her." He laughed and picked up the phone that was in the living room. I sat on the couch, while he called Nick first.
"Hey Nick, you, Becca, AJ, and Dani want to hang out? I just got in."
"Yeah, sure. Hold on and I’ll ask Becca."
"Ok."
"Alright, it’s fine with Becca. Call AJ and Dani and see. Where are we gonna meet?"
"Your house?"
"That’s fine. See ya in a bit."
"Yep, bye."
"Bye." He hung up the phone and dialed another number, and it was AJ. He finished talking to AJ and hung up the phone, placing it back on its charger.
"Alright, we’re all going to meet at Nick’s house and do something from there."
"Ok, sounds good. Let’s go." I got up and got my keys out of my pocket. But Brian grabbed them and smiled at me.
"What do you think you’re doing?" I asked, smiling back.
"I haven’t been able to drive my car in 4 months, so I’m going to drive."
"Alright, fine by me. Go right ahead." I laughed and we went out to his car and he drove to Nick’s house. We got there in 45 minutes. Just as AJ and Dani did.
"Hey guys!" I said.
"Hey Amanda, Brian!" Dani replied in the same tone.
We went inside Nick’s house and heard some yelling. It wasn’t loud, but it was enough to know that Becca was in a bad mood.
"Uh oh, Becca doesn’t sound happy." Dani whispered.
"That’s for sure. I wonder what she’s upset about?" AJ wondered.
"Who knows?! Everything." I replied.
Becca didn’t like Nick doing many things with his friends. But I thought she was ok with it today. Who knows?!
"Hey Nick, we’re here!" Brian called, so he’d let Becca know we were there.
"We’re in the living room." Nick called back. We walked to the living room and saw Nick standing and Becca sitting on the couch, not looking that happy.
"Hey Becca, what’s up?" Dani asked.
"Nothing." Was her response. Someone is having PMS big time!
"So, what would y’all like to do?" I asked, trying to lighten the situation.
"Go swimming." Nick suggested.
"Sounds good." All of us, minus Becca said.
"Bec?" Nick asked, looking at her.
"Nah, I’ll sit this one out. I’m going out with the girls in a little while anyway. Go ahead and have fun." She got up, kissed Nick on the cheek and left the room.
"What crawled up her ass?!" I whispered only loud enough for me to hear, but I guess Brian heard too, coz he gave me this look that said to shut my mouth.
"So, Where do you want to go swimming?" AJ asked.
"How ‘bout the beach?" Nick replied.
"Your beach?" Dani asked.
"Sounds fine." Brian said. I shook my head up and down in response. Dani and I went upstairs to one of the guest bedrooms and changed into our bathing suits, and shorts. And the guys did the same. We went back downstairs and I saw Nick on the phone.
"Who is he talking to?" I asked quietly to Brian and AJ.
"I have no clue. All of a sudden he got wide eyed and ran over to the phone and dialed someone’s number." Brian explained.
"Hmm, strange. Maybe it’s important." I pondered.
He finished talking to whoever was on the other line and hung up the phone. He turned around a looked at us, with a smile on his face.
"Who was that Nick?" Dani asked.
"You remember last night?" He grinned.
"Yeah, the coffee shop. What about it?"
"The girl?"
"Oh, the one we made laugh. That was her?"
"Yep, and she’s coming. With her friend Stefania."
"Cool. She knows how to get here?"
"Yeah, I gave her good directions. She should be here soon."
"Alright." AJ and Dani started walking outside, but Brian and I just stood there bewildered. Who were they talking about?
"Um, are you going to tell us whom you’re talking about? Or make up guess?" Brian asked.
"Make you guess!" Nick laughed.
"You suck Nick!" I whined.
"Yeah, whatever. This girl at this cafe last night. She looked lonely or whatever and looked like she needed a friend. Dani pointed her out, so we had to make her laugh. We did and then she had to leave. But I got her number, and invited her to come today and bring her friend. So, she’s on her way."
"Oh, does she have a name?" I asked.
"Oh yeah, it’s Felicia."
"Cool. Can’t wait to meet her."
"Well, you all can go out. I’ll wait for her and be out there soon."
"OK, see ya in a few." We walked outside and down to the beach. Brian had a volleyball and we started playing a game.
