Hello, and welcome to my little part of the world in Northeastern Louisiana! I am known as Tiger_LSUfan in the Gaming Zone and I have the title as "Head CheerLeader" for our Tiger Family.
Louisiana is one of the cornerstones in the history of the United States. Located near Epps,Louisiana is the Poverty Point State Historic Site. Here archaeologists have uncovered pottery shards, clay cooking balls, arrowheads, and thousands of other artifacts that pre-date the ancient civilizations of Greece and Rome. The aerial view shows the mounds to be in the shape of an eagle with outstretched wings. It's been called one of the most significant prehistoric Indian sites in North America. Some say you can sense the spirits of the Ancient Ones here. Its funny; before the world found it, we used to climb there with friends and picked up all kinds of stuff along the way!
Our other claims to fame include the birthplace of Delta Airlines, which was originally a crop duster service and the Beidenharn family who live in Monroe. They were the first to bottle Coca-Cola. Arcadia is noted as the place where Bonnie and Clyde were gunned down. This area is considered the Sportsmans Paradise, due to all the hunting and fishing available. The Mississippi River Delta soil grows cotton, soybeans, rice, corn, and maize as well as all kinds of fruits, nuts, and vegetables.
On a personal note, I was born in the Panhandle of Texas. We moved to Louisiana when I was 4 years old, and I have been here ever since only leaving the state to travel or to get more education. My wonderful parents were self-employed with many irons in the fire, so I have had to meet the public most of my life!
From a 29 year marriage, we have one precious son who is a recent graduate of Louisiana State University; hence, I am the fan of an LSU tiger! I am an educator with 25 years of experience with my major areas being Early Childhood, Reading, and Supervision of Instruction. I have been in a classroom since I was 5 years old, either going to school or teaching school. I adore children, am a master teacher, and am a life-long learner! I love people and appreciate the uniqueness of each and everyone. I belong to many professional and civic organizations. I also enjoy traveling and love to play Spades!!!
The joy and honor of being in the Tigers are some things I never knew existed nor expected. I didnt have a clue as to the fun and safety of belonging to such a wonderful group of people. My nic has attracted folks from all walks of life as partners and prospective tigers. It is a real treat for me to help them join the Tiger Family because I am a service-oriented person!
