Never have to
delete/recreate your graphics cache again!
This
is for those who feel comfortable deleting and adding files.
1.
Click Start, Programs, then Windows Explorer.
2.
Go to the Program Files folder, and double click to open it.
3.
Go to the Microprose folder, and again double click to open it.
4.
Go to the B-17 folder, and open it.
5.
Go to the Resources folder, double click to open it.
6.
Go to the Media folder, and double click to open it.
7.
Look at the files, you will see one called, Imagecache.dat .
8.
Right click, and delete this file, click yes when prompted.
9.
Right click again, and go to New. From the choices available, select txt
document.
10.
Right click on the txt. document you just created, and rename it Imagecache.dat
. Ignore the warning, and click yes.
The icon for the file will look like the old
one you had deleted in steps 7 & 8.

Right click on the "new" Imagecache.dat file, and click on
Properties.

A menu will appear, with some options that have little check boxes in front of
them.
13.
Uncheck the Archive box, and click to add a check mark to the read only box.
14.
Click OK, and now, you don't have to worry about deleting, and creating a
Graphics Cache when you add skins or other art files to the game.
Just
add the tga.s to the appropriate omf file, and save as normal, but when you
start the game, you don't have to fiddle with the Options tab anymore.
