Are you having trouble getting your ID logged into Yahoo Messenger ?
Hold down control and click the sign-in link ... it overrides cookie blocks
If your password works on your ... Yahoo_mail ... or ... Account_Info ... but not in Messenger ... If the error you get says ... the user id or password are incorrect / invalid ... You have a CHAT BAN only ...
NOTE: the new Messenger will log you into the messenger ... but still won't enter chat
- Yahoo Chat Bans can last from days up to 4 months ... it depends on the violation ...see known bans below
You can still see your friends list and maybe chat by trying the links below
If you can NOT open your Mail or My Account ... and you have waited at least 48 hours ... your ID may have been stolen ... read ... THIS TO SEE HOW TO RECOVER IT
Read this to prevent stolen ID' s ... PASSWORD SCAMS
If your account says ... locked for security reasons ... Yahoo LOCKS accounts and will sends a SYSTEM notice message in a PM ... If there are too many unauthorized attempts to access your account ... Yahoo locks it ... this is to protect it ... try the link in the system notice untill you get the " type this word in the box " page to confirm your ID ... this tells Yahoo you are human ... you should be able to unlock it ... if not wait 24 hours
KNOWN BANS
Note to users : If you scroll ... run a booter ... violate the law ... cuss or abuse chatters ... among other things ... and Yahoo recieves a report when a user clicks the BLUE report abuse link shown next to the send button in chat ... Yahoo recieves a copy of the past chat session and Yahoo has the USA courts legal permission to deactivated or ban accounts ... if your password works on your ... Yahoo_mail ... or ... Account_Info ... but not Messenger ... If the error you get says ... the user id or password are incorrect / invalid ... You have a CHAT BAN only ... One of two things happened ... you got booted ... or ... disconnected and logged in again right away and the new program technology GLITCHED ... Or ... you violated Yahoo Terms Of Servic and Yahoo's new programming banned you
If you can't see your text in the chat room ...Yahoo's new scroll text filter got you ... it's to prevent scrolling ... don't type short / quick fast lines ... fade users experience this more because fade font has code that helps exceed the limits ... use the "thought " or "emote " option and your type will be seen ... type /think before each line if your chat program doesn't have a thought option ... text bans start at about 5 minutes and increase if you get more each session
Sending too much text will get a 24 hour ban / short text bans are only 10 minutes
Yahoo's new technoligy has a glitch though ... banning IDs ... this doesn't mean you violated TOS
Many are gettting chat bans for no reason ... If you got booted / disconnected ... then can't loggin .... TELL Yahoo ... Maybe if Yahoo recieves enough complaints ... it might get fixed ... tell them ... HEREYahoo disconnects and bans some ID's for posting certian URL's in the rooms ... Websites posted too many times get put on the HIT list and Your ID may be banned if you post their URL ... this is to STOP porn bots ... it is a short ban ... usually hours
