Saleen to unveil new Mustang, the S281-E. New S281-E will be the first version of the S281 inwhich Saleen has completely redesigned the modular 4.6L 2v engine. New Saleen parts will adorn the Ford aluminum block. Power is expected to be near 425 horsepower and 415 ft lbs of torque. Saleen has been developing this vehicle since the demise of the S351 because of the Windsor 351 engine block shortage. I will post pictures and information from brochure as I receive it from Saleen.

July 24, 2001:

Saleen plans to add 3 new race teams for the 2002 season. S7R racecars under development for bugs that need to be worked out from 2001 24 Hours of LeMans.
