FOR MY PARENTS

Those are my parents

Mindolf and Elizabeth

To the best parents who did the best they could during the war torn years.

They left behind a lot of sadness at their departure, but heaven is

certainly cheering at their arrival.

Mindolf b. 9/7/09  d. 3/28/89

     Elizabeth b. 1/19/15 d. 09/27/94

Both are sorely missed each day, especially you mother.

MEMORIAL FOR MY GRANDPARENTS Mother's Side

Arthur Claude and Elizabeth Irene

Arthur Claude b: 5/12/1891  d. 12/11/1979

Elizabeth Irene b: 07/27/1892  d: 06/28/1963

My grandmother Elizabeth died before seeing her first  great-grand child. My first child Maureen Elizabeth was born 09/02/63. Thus she was named after my grandmother.  My grandfather was a street car driver.  I can remember the train rails running down the streets of Minneapolis, MN. We (my siblings and I) would wait for my grandfather to get off work and meet the street car he came home on :-).  Funny what stays in your mind. My grandfather's relatives came to America from Scotland.

My grandparents came to America from Sweden on 10/15/l913 at Ellis Island from there they made their way overland to Wisconsin and settled around Cumberland.  I didn't get to know my grandparents all that well but what I do remember of them was a giant of a man who spoke no English - but could let us know in a heart beat when we were doing something wrong - no language problem there :-).  My grandmother was a very tiny sweet loving woman.  These are precious memories to have of them.
