To get winzip you go to http://www.winzip.com and Click Get Evaluation Version and you can use that unless you feel you need to buy the full version.
To unzip files all you have to do is simply double click the file you wish to unzip and winzip will open with the files in it, most files will have a .ZIP extension(the 3 ending characters at the end of a file), and you will have a list of all the files contained in the zip. Now to extract them you simply highlight all the files you wish to extract and click the extract button, as shown.
And a dialog box will pop up(as shown below). Then you will want to select the folder you wish to unzip the files you have selected too and click unzip.
Zipping files with winzip is also a simple matter. First step is to open winzip and click the new button.
Then when you click New another dialog box will pop up and you should write the name of your zip file in the box that says file name.
When you click ok another box will open up. This is for adding the files to your zip file. Select Files in the box underwhere it says Add. When you choose your compression the maximum compresses things more so they are smaller but it takes a little longer, but if you choose super fast it won't compress them very much but it will be quicker.
Then you click Add and it will add all the files you selected to the zip file. Now you can close your winzip and it is done you go select your zip file and send it to whoever you wish, just as long as they have winzip.
