Daily administration of 4 projects running concurrently. The projects involve milling and resurfacing of 6-lane interstate highway, milling and resurfacing of 4-lane secondary artery, and widening an existing 2 lane rural highway to a 4 lane divided highway with both rural and urban sections. The projects involves utility relocation, addition of drainage structures and retention ponds, curb and gutter sections, excavation and embankment along with stabilized base and asphalt.

project –
Duties were to assist the Project Engineer in
the daily management and inspection of the Contractor's work force and CSXT's
work crews, compile reports for FDOT/SFRC and Tri-Rail. Responsible for
inputting test data into FDOT's CQR system, prepared the Contractor's Monthly
progress estimate, assisted field personnel with inspection duties, updated
quantities for the Final Estimate, reviewed CSXT's bills for FDOT and
recommended approval or denial of their costs.

Duties included the daily inspection and
documentation of the Contractor's manpower, equipment and operations, while
concurrently verifying compliance with plans and specifications for the
Missouri Dept. of Transportation. Responsible for keeping daily reports of
progress both in field books and input into the state's Site-Manager software,
concrete testing, acceptance and related concrete reports, breaking of field
concrete test samples, logging and verifying materials such as structural steel
girders, cross-braces, bolts and bearing pads, field-checking torque of
structural bolts and assisting with bi-weekly progress estimates. Had to leave
and come back to FL early due to family concerns.

work force. Supervised the inspection team and assigned inspection duties.
Inspected and documented contractor's manpower, equipment and operations while
concurrently verifying compliance with plans and specifications. Verified
contractor's work, e.g., earthwork grades and densities, base, asphalt
placement, formwork of C.I.P. concrete structures, reinforcing steel placement,
drainage structures and pipe placement, highway lighting, signs and signals.
Tracked Contractor's progress against baseline CPM schedule. Responsible for
compilation of the Engineer's Weekly Summary, preparing the Contractor's
Monthly progress estimate and the Final Estimate. Also handled the accounting
responsibilities, including the firm's monthly invoice to FDOT, the firm's
Impress checking account, petty cash account and office accounts payable.

maintenance of all data processing duties for the Q.C. lab, using both a PC and
a Digital VAX terminal. Issue, input, and transfer to District computers, all
product codes for mix designs, concrete block, and resale items for the
company. Duties include compiling data and generating reports on monthly quality
control of the 64 concrete and block plants throughout the state. Conceived,
devised and implemented plan to link District PC's via modems, allowing
transmission of mix designs and other data directly from P.C. to P.C., rather
than by fax machine, which cut down on the District's operations costs.
Responsibilities also include in-house technical services, answering mix design
questions, formulating new mix designs, resolving technical questions and/or
problems, maintain all technical materials, files, and product information in
the central filing system.
