Subject: Injustice in Stephens County Oklahoma
To: info@oklahomasheriffs.comI am writing about a friend's son as well other inmates in this county jail. Under Civil due process, human rights, and civil rights in the USA I do feel that there is injustice done here at the facility. Of course we hear of stories like this, but does anyone ever do anything? Well, I am hoping that you will! Remember the recent American military men and women in Iraq who did this kind of thing to prisoners? Is this any better? No, it isn't! It's happening in your own back yard {state}. I would so greatly love hearing from you or someone in Oklahoma on this issue very soon. I am writing several organizations today, as well as you in the hopes these people can be helped: Two of them are in DIRE need of Medical care, and they {Stephens County Officials} ARE NOT providing it to the inmates. Isn't this illegal?

Recently I wrote to various people within the State of Oklahoma about this crisis, which was brought to my attention by a friend.
Here, in the USA, in a simple minded town, there are officers of law, courts, LEO, jailers making threats towards the INNOCENT, people who are not in jail, but whose relatives ARE! In this jail are people who, for months if not years, have been mis-treated and suffered PURE Neglect of their rights to Medical care. There's no telling what else has happened at The ROCK that we don't know about yet.
Now there is proof that someone was deprived of food, civil rights, and God knows what else! I live in Texas, if I did live in Oklahoma I would do ALL I could to help any of them. I regret that I do not live there.
So does the County DA have , or the right to threaten someone {a relative of the person who is in jail?} Does he himself bare the right to use Narcotics and hold a position like this?
Its funny how MANY things have happened due to the recent events for the families raising their concern, and how accidents are happening, people are being put in jail, houses being burned? This is America, the Old South is Gone. Does the Sheriff of this town have any right to treat prisoners badly because her husband was hurt by a violent crime? This has been stated many times, as well the DA doing such things.
Someone within this Government has become so Autonomous its sad, the good Ole mentality is still there, I wont tell if you wont. Can this be allowed any longer? I have told the friend who writes me of this to record this via the phone, I pray she gets these kind of statements.
She has tried her best to report things, not too much has happened. She isn't trying to free her son, but knowing that the people whom put him in jail WILL NOT take care of him, isn't this illegal? Isn't this inhumane? I'm a dog trainer, my dogs are treated better, how sad?
I'm very sure there are civil, Federal, State, as well as Local laws being broken here, just in the mention of what I have heard it is nerve racking, violating, repulsive. I know Texas is bad, but if ANYONE did this here, they would be held and charged for their actions.
Everyone that has been sent this, says it isn't my job, there's nothing I can do - Sure there is, take action, inquire, maybe some human will live? Wouldn't this be worth it, knowing you did right?JD Hicklen
