June 1st, 2002 Today was so much fun. I worked attractions and we had the "Hometown Jamboree" group perfoming in the main hall. Now, normally, I don't care for HJ because they do exactly the same western songs over and over again. We don't normally have the HJ unless they are filling in for our other groups who sometimes have lots of rehersing. Anyway, so there were about 700 guests listening/watching the HJ as they waited for the show to start when a guest came up to me and asked, "Do you do-see-do?" (I dunno how it's really spelled so bear with me here). I shook my head of course but he took my hand and dragged me up to the middle of the hall and right in front of everyone and began to swing dance. Luckily for me, I actually remembered the swing dancing class I took for PE in middle school! My manager, Greg, was laughing and Pearl was annoyed (since she's the one that doesn't even like me twirling around in my dress in the first place). After words, we got a lot of applause as I returned to my station. Kathy later told me I looked beautiful with my dress flowing as I twirled, so that was cool. :) Throughout the rest of the day I continued to have guests ask me if I planned/practiced that and if I plan on doing that for the next perfomance. :-D Greg even gave me a "Guest Fanatic Card" (an award) for doing it too (the card gets put into a drawing for cool stuff). And I also think he put the story about my dancing with a guest in the "Epcot Today", which is a newsletter that goes out all over the entire park for all cast members to read. YAY!
