March 15th, 2002 Well, I started training for the "American Adventure" attraction today. I'm still in my location of the USA country in the world showcase of Epcot. But istead of merchandise, I get to answer a whole bunch of the same questions, talk on the microphone to hundreds of people and press buttons. So *just* in case you ever come to the attraction here are the answers to the most of the same annoying questions: 1.) No, there is not bathroom here. The bathroom is down to the right of the restaurant. 2.) No, this isn't "The Hall of Presidents", that is at Magic Kingdom in the Liberty Square. 3.) The show is 30 minutes long. 4.) No, you cannot go into the show late. 5.) The show starts every hour on the half hour. 6.) No, it's not the hour half yet. 7.) The "Kidcot" is down to the left. (it's a kids thing to keep them entertained at Epcot) 8.) The show is about America's history. etc.. etc.. Anyway, so yesterday was my first day of training on the job and Mia and Mike came to see me work (yay...). So I was doing my little speech in the theater ("please no eating, drinking, enjoy the show, etc) and some high school chick behind them said "God, that girl is busty!" AGH! Excuse me, Miss Priss, but at least I have something there! =P Sometimes I wonder if I should just get some duct tape or something. Except for doing crowd control though, because no one pays any attention to me telling them to move AWAY from the parade. That's the only time I ever want to be "busty" or at least some cleavage so they actually pay attention!!! I did of course screw way up on one of my speeches in the main hall (before the show). So I smiled and said it was my first day. Everyone laughed and clapped when I finally finished. And for the rest of that day, many people would come up to me throughout the day and tell me what I good job I did. :-D Yay! My trainer said he never got any kind of that attention before. I think it was my two braids I wear with my costume. I think it gives it that extra innocent touch. :) (hehe) So today, there where these cute two little girls. They looked to be about 4 and 5. And they stuck to me like glue. It was almost as if they thought I was Cinderella or someone like that. I loved it! On the way up to the show and after one of my speeches, one held on to my hand as we went up the escelator (waving to the other Guests behind us of course). Then I let them into the theater so that I could go back to my position at the time (which was main hall and not the theater), but one of the girls asked if I would sit with them during the show. It was sooo adorable! I wish I could have! :) So I gave the girls hugs again before leaving them to their dad. I have to say, that was one of the most adorable things ever to happen to me so far. Of course, it had a lot to do with the costume I was in. It's a long dress that is white and rose red. I also wear a ribbon choker and a white hat thing that drives me nuts. It's hard to explain what it looks like, but soon I'll have pictures of my costumes. Tomorrow is my first day on my own. Sounds like fun! :)
