The King of Monkey Island [KOMI] is the new
pop-rock recording from Frank Cotolo. Since the mid-1960s he has been composing and recording original
music.
His music defies genres by breaking down all of their various boundaries. His artistic efforts ensue, with
a
growing fan base, delivering his music independently via the internet.
With three decades of experience in show business, Cotolo has written books, articles, poems and songs,
all published; he has written material for and acted in performances for stage, screen, radio and TV; he is
an
award-winning journalist; and he has produced radio shows, CDs and recorded material for other artists.
KOMI is wholly conceived as a complete experience, a self-contained unit that is a step away from the
hits-plus-filler
affairs that characterize most of the CDs of our time. KOMI treats you to a beautiful, dense and
sophisticated array of
musical expression that has rarely existed before. The "Pocket Symphonies" that KOMI presents are
revelatory in their own
right. The sheer overflow of creativity that
populates KOMI is illuminating on an entirely different level than what is delivered by groups and solo
artists these days.
The construction of KOMI's music has its own particular beauty. |
