Polo Days in Polo, Missouri
Oh what fun the Wondershow had in Polo Missouri, showing up for Polo Days, the town of under 1000 people's annual festival. Perhaps it couldn't have been hotter. Your Wonder friends spent the day dodging the heat, and trying to rustle up a crowd for a show. The bandstands mc, Bonnie, seemed to be one of the only who could bear the heat. She announced raffle winners all day to near empty streets (Clairlise won a welcome mat! Thanks Bonnie!!)and continually rescheduled the Wonder SHow in hopes that the weather would cool. It didn't.
The Wonder SHow did find refreshment at the tractor pull, meeting their new friends Sally and Marvin. Sally runs the liquor store, Sally's Oasis, and hooked up a gig opening for a band at the great air-conditioned watering hole, Lonnies. The Wonder Show was a hit. Sally and Marvin blew the Wonderminds with their generosity and friendship.
Even the Big Red Truck was taken care of. Sally and Marvin's mechanic Jonesy removed the old International's 180 thermostat in hopes that it would help cool the truck's engine on the long hot drive.
