Artists:
We would like to recruit some volunteer artists to help teach art classes to people of all ages (children's classes will be separate from adults) on several topics. Some of our first students will be persons who are HIV-infected, their families, and their friends in Harlingen and McAllen. Soon, we will expand to offer these courses to others. Please e-mail us if you are interested in helping, and fill out a volunteer application.

One of the services which Art That Heals, Inc., will be offering is a DIRECTORY of local artists.
So, beginning with our Board of Directors and volunteers, we will be posting a picture of the artist, a picture of their work and a short bio.We will also include contact information, but not a link to their Websites, unless they pay a fee.
Join our online directory for free! and perhaps expand our directory in other ways later.
The directory will include poets, actors, painters, sculptors, potters, photographers, and even culinary and martial artists, to name a few!
So, if you are a hoping to join us, please e-mail or mail your photo and a photo of one of your works, or you in action, etc., along with a five-line biography--or shorter--to us!
We are hoping to gain grant support for this soon-to-be-immense project, in order to hire a Webmaster, get a dedicated Web address, etc., as we grow our directory.
Later, we will be offering Web page development and services for our artists, at a small fee (if you want your own Web site), but a one-page Web site will remain free!
All of this is in keeping with our mission and goals since our vision is for people here to recognize and be able to find talented artists in the Rio Grande Valley area and to help artists make a living out of the valuable contributions made to our society.
