Art That Heals, Inc.'s HIV/AIDS Programs

Art That Heals, Inc., would like to offer classes on general art topics, including painting, mural design, poetry and journal writing as we develop our Art Therapy Program.

(If you are an artist interested in helping teach these classes or others, please e-mail us and let us know!)

If you are HIV-positive or know someone who is, we are starting a sign-up list for interested persons. Please e-mail your name (first name is enough) contact phone or e-mail address, your age, your city and your particular topic of interest.

Our first major community-based art project will be planning, designing and painting a mural in McAllen. Details will be posted here.

We'd like to include artists and people who are infected or affected by HIV in this first collaborative process. The classes will begin soon and the mural will be painted in the late summer/fall(2004).

Please sign up if you are interested in the classes mentioned above. Painting classes are open to children and adults. Poetry and writing classes are for teenagers and adults.

We will eventually have classes for the community-at-large, but for now, these classes are for people who are HIV-infected or affected.

Art That Heals, Inc., does not discriminate based on age, gender, race, or immigration status or residency.
