Art That Heals, Inc., is sponsoring an art exhibit at the McAllen International Airport (MFE) with the theme "Phoenix Rising," in observance of the first anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001

Our "Articles of Incorporation" as a nonprofit organization in the State of Texas have been approved!!! The Secretary of States Office, which meticulously studies each word in the document said it was their pleasure to send us our incorporation papers!
We are accepting applications for 1) volunteers, 2) Two Board of Directors positions, 3) for our Advisory Board and 4) for our Youth Advisory Board.
In order to apply as an IRS-recognized tax-exempt organization under the 501 (c) (3) tax code, we must produce a future budget; therefore, we need financial advice, so please let us know if you're available.
We are receiving inquiries about our purposes: basically, we will not set out to accomplish anything even remotely political (campaigning) or legislative (lobbying); our issues are the arts, cultural literacy, and helping people with HIV and AIDS; it's strictly Art & AIDS; once we add to that, the list will not end and the consequence of conducting politics or lobbying is loss of tax-exempt status and possible fines (taxes due, etc. Preservation of tax-exempt status by remaining a charity promoting the arts and promoting health is of utmost importance. Please help us stay focused by preparing written suggestions of programs and activities related to our mission. Dream big, but please stay focused.
Also, we are continuously consider partnerships with existing nonprofit org's, so please prepare written suggestions concerning that.
As always, we ask for your prayers and support as we begin.
