RADIO CONTROL SLOPE SOARING.

BELOW IS A PICTURE OF SOME OF MY PLANES BEING FLOWN AT WYBUNG HEADS IN MUNMORAH STATE RECREATION AREA, JUST SOUTH OF NEWCASTLE IN NSW AUSTRALIA.

I have to say that I am more an enthusiastic flyer than a good flyer.  I enjoy experimenting with models and you will see a Mugi and a Dazi amongst those flying.

I belong to the Wybung Soarers club.  We are a small group of flyers, who enjoy their summer easterly winds at Wybung Heads.  We mostly fly on Sunday afternoons, but there can be a few flyers there on many afternoons during the week. I have to add to this the fact that we fly at Wybung under some very firm rules from the National Parks and Wildlife, rules which we are happy to abide by but which restricts flying to members of the Wybung soarers club.  It is not an open site I am afraid to say.

Sadly, when the winter comes, so do the Westerly winds and as we do not have a westerly wind slope so we retire to our thermal or electric models at a local turf farm.
