Brian in Voodoo Lab: circa 2000-2001
This is Brian with his first band, Voodoo Lab. Voodoo Lab was founded in 2000 by Casey Hathcoat and Brian Howell. (Casey is farthest left, kneeling.) This was Brian's high school 'Garage Band' days. Sadly Voodoo Lab never obtained a stable drummer, and eventually broke up. The only constant drummer VooDoo Lab ever had was Josh Turner, still a great friend of Brian's. (Josh Turner is currently playing in the band "Jayne Jones" and trying to mix up some new music by combining nu metal with techno. When they have a website, it'll be posted HERE. )(Plus, Tracy and Brian graduated in 2001.) Members were: Brian Howell (guitar and backup vocals), Casey Hathcoat (Vocals), Tracy Edwards (guitar), and David Tankersly (Bass guitar).
Rocky Burren: circa 2001-2003
The Rocky Burren was a celtic band founded by Matt Lewis (far left in picture) and Crystal Rice (not pictured). Brian met Matt at a school gathering in 2001, and they both learned of each other's passion for music. Furthermore, Matt learned that Brian played Celtic, and invited him to come in and play with the Rocky Burren. What happened was a friendship that is still strong to this day, and a musical ensamble that cannot be described in words.
Brian Howell's solo strikeout: circa 2002-present
Brian is now following a solo career with a group called "Los Abandonados." Los Abandonados members are: David Tankersly (Bass guitar), Joshua Bradshaw (percussion) and newly added member Aaron (guitar). Brian and his friends hope to record soon, and then hit the road headed for a few clubs and such. Hopefully, they can make the names Brian Howell y Los Abandonados a well known name in music. They are currently playing Sunday evenings (5:00) at Starbucks coffee in Longview, Texas.
