Abraham Clevenger was my great great grandfather. He and his wife Lydia had 16 children. The last was Louisa, my great grandmother. She married Peter Morton. They lived in McConnellsburg, PA. I would be interested in communicating with other descendents.

Great site. I have added it to my favorites to check back in often. My mother is Virgie and her mom and dad are Ermel and ada stonecipher clevenger, my line are from stone,lawrence and barry counties in missouri. Awesome site and thank you for adding to our clevengers history.

I'm a distant Clevenger, not on Abraham''s side. These are great photos. I have added them to my family tree, how do you want the credit written? My grandmother Betty Sipes Bedford is traced back to the Clevenger name as well. Thelma Metzler is her mother and she remarried but Thlema was Perthenia Clevenger - Metzler's daughter. Looking for more info. Thanks

Abraham Clevenger b:1741 and Mary Pittman are my grandparents (7 generations)thru their youngest son Jonathon. i found your pictures quite fascinating. I have been doing research and traced the Clevenger roots back to John born 1633, four generation before Abraham.

Have you come across Juretta Clevenger born about 1790 Frederick, Virginia died 1870 Pickaway County, Ohio. Married to Michael Van Buskirk 1813. Ross County, Ohio? It was not confirmed they were married. They had quite a few children.
