  • Died: 27 May 1919, Belle Plaine Iowa

   General Notes:

Obituary from a collection of Howard items, source not noted but probably
Jefferson County, NY, this item dated 1919: "Mrs. Frances Howard – Mrs. E.H.
Lindsey has received the sad news of the death of her sister, Mrs. Frances
Howard which took place at Bell Plain, Iowa, May 27 last after an illness of
only ten days. Mrs. Howard was before her marriage Frances Goodenough,
daughter of the late Levi Goodenough of Goodenough, Ellisburg. She was twice
married. By her first marriage to John Reynolds two children survive, a son
Milvern Reynolds and Mrs. Maud Leisinger and by her second marriage to
Clarence Howard a son Clarence. She passed away at the home of her daughter
aged about 60 years. Mrs. Howard still had many friends here who will be
grieved to learn of her death. None knew her but to love her as she was a
woman of noble Christian character."

Note: This is incorrect regarding the father of Maud. Should indicate only
Milvern by John W. Reynolds and both Maud and Clarence by 2nd husband
Clarence Howard. See census data above.
