Col. J.E. Babson received blanks Saturday for making out the annual report of Abe Flick Post, G.A.R. He will call a special meeting during the month, so he informed the News.

   Research Notes:

He began military service on 15 Aug 1862 when he enlisted in Co. B, 31st Regiment, Wisconsin Infantry. He was suffered from deafness and severe liver trouble following his Civil War service. He was honorably discharged on 20 Jun 1865 near Louisbury, LA.

   Marriage Information:

James married Emeline WILLIAMSON, daughter of Unknown and Unknown, on 11 Sep 1859 in Wayne, Green Co., WI. (Emeline WILLIAMSON was born in 1841 in Blockton, Taylor, Ia, died in 1907 and was buried in Blockton Rose Hill Cemetery.)
