William(3) Triplett became later a resident of Prince William County, as stated in the deed from his sons John and Thomas Triplett (July 19, 1753), cited above, and there is a deed in Prince William County, dated September 29, 1747, from "George Brent of Charles County, Maryland, Gentleman, to William Triplett of Prince William County, Gentleman," for 500 acres of land "on the southwest side of Quantico Creek next to the Potomac river." This land is now the site of the U.S. Marine Corps Barracks, Quantico, and on this land, as stated in the County record, Triplett lived the latter years of his life and probably died and was buried.
