Globalization : A Smile
Mood:  happy
Topic: Personal

I do computer programming as a hobby. Doing so I have made some software. I found some sites on the Internet that provide jobs for the programmer. I got registered with ScriptLance. But I was not regular in looking for the projects. One day, I got a small project. I earned $5 from that project. I received the money via PayPal.

I got married recently. With the $5, I gave order for some gifts for my wife on an online shop HVB eBazar. I reside in Bangladesh. Purchasing online is not well known here. My wife knew that in Western countries people do shopping over the Internet. But she didn't knew that it is now also possible in Bangladesh. I didn't inform anything beforehand. On the next day of ordering for the gift, people of HVB eBazar went to my flat. I was in my office. They told my wife that someone has sent you some gift. She found that it is form me. I put a message, "Five dollar gift for you". She was surprised. She phoned me immediately. Then I explained her everything. This makes her so pleasing.

I would not be able to make her such pleased, if I gave her some gift worth $5 from local market. She informs everyone of her friends and kin. They also got surprised. Was it possible just 20 years ago? It is a fruit of globalization.
