Edward Inwood & Sarah Longhurst ©

The second son of Edward Longhurst and Elizabeth (nee Elliott), Edward was baptised in the Parish Church of St Peter & St Paul, Ewhurst on the 8^th October, 1695, his father is recorded as a Wheelwright¹.  

Edward married Sarah Longhurst on the 8^th May, 1720, in the Ewhurst Parish Church.  The record shows they were both from Ewhurst².

Sarah, the daughter of Walter Longhurst, was baptised in the Ewhurst Parish Church on the 9^th April, 1701¹.  Marriage records for Ewhurst are inconclusive, but indicate Sarah's mother was possibly Mary nee Mann.²

Records show Edward & Sarah had six children baptised in Ewhurst: Mary 1721; Edward 1724; Thomas 1727, he married Mary Scrag 1755; Sarah 1728; Elizabeth 1731; and Isaac 1735.

Sarah died at the age of 53, and was buried in Ewhurst Parish Churchyard on the 22^nd February, 1754³.  At the age of 73 Edward died and was buried in Ewhurst Parish Churchyard on the 16^th September, 1768³.
