Humphrey Lucock ©

Born around 1650, Humphrey is believed to be the son of Ephriam Lucock.  However to-date no baptism record has been located.

It is known that Humphrey married Ury Bentley in the Parish Church of St Martin, Dorking, and Surrey, England, on the 27th April, 16851.  In some records Ury has been transcribed as Eve, Ivy and Mary.

A baptism record for Ury has been located in Ewhurst, Surrey in the Parish church of St Peter and St Paul.  Recorded as the daughter of Richard Bently, she was baptised on the 9th April, 16502.

Parish records indicate Humphrey and his wife had at least three children, all baptised in Dorking: Humphrey 1686-1686; Joan 1688; and John 1691, he married Jane (surname unknown) around 1720.

Humphrey died in 1733 and was buried in the Churchyard of St Martin, Dorking, on the 22nd October3.  The record has his name as Lewoock.  To-date no record of his wife’s death or burial have been located.
