Note: To locate this cemetery, turn north of highway 550 onto Old Church Road. Continue northward to Mount Zion Church at address 2791. Directly across the street (west) from the Church and church cemetery is a barb wire fence. Behind the fence you will see the beginning of a very old, very wet Buie trail, partially overgrown with grass and other weeds. Continue on westward for between three quarters to a mile, while always looking carefully to your right (north) into the woods. Look for the tallest trees on your right. You may have to occasionally squat or lay down to finally spot a headstone through the shrubbery. After walking back and forth in the area for nearly a hour, climbing over downed trees, logs and through burred vines and other unfavorable brush, you will find a few more headstones, half of which are totally impossible to read. We were well aware there were other graves scattered about, but they were all sunken into the ground, most filled with water.
