Hugh Lupton, songs by Helen Chadwick
Photographs by Liz McGowan
An exploration of the layers in the landscape in story, poetry, song and photographs.
This book, following the ancient line of the peddars way across Norfolk from south to north, is an attempt to bring to the surface the layers that are held in the memory of the sand, soil, flint, peat, chalk, clay and car-stone beneath our feet.
Each of the stories is linked to a particular moment in time at a particular place on the Peddars way.
