Step 1. : Go to motifs for a good picture to use for stencils. Place your stencil on your fabric and with masking tape holding it down paint the open part of the stencil. Be sure to make them a few inches apart.

Step 2. : Make sure to wait for each 'picture' to draw before moving sentcil to make another picture. If you are making different colored pictures, be sure and clean the stencil before changing colors.

Step 3. : Press fabric, following the directions given by the paint manufacturer. Fold fabric in half, right sides together, so paw prints are on one side. Pin, then stitch along each side, sing a 1/2 in. seam allowance. Press seams open.

Step 4. : Leave bag inside out and mark 1/4 in. from the top. Turn and press. Mark 1½ in. from the folded edge. Turn, press, and baste near the top edge. Machine stitch through both layers 1/8in. from lower edge, leaving 1/2 in. gap to insert cord.

Step 5. : To strengthen the channel, machine stitch again around top edge of bag.

Step 6. : Attach a safety pin or bodkin to one end of the cord. Thread through opening in cord channel. Remove safety pin and knot ends or put a pony bead over the ends and then knot them. Turn the bag right side out.
