Kat-nap Sack

Step 1. : Cut two fronts and two backs. Pin the two together with wrong sides together, then baste.

Step 2. : Open out one edge of the bias binding so you can see the fold line. Baste to the longest edge of the bag front, so that the fold line is positioned 3/8 in. from the fabric edge. Machine stitch in place.

Step 3. : Fold binding over to back of fabric so that it extends 1/8 in. beyond the pervious stitching line. Baste. From the front, machine stitch the edge through all thickness.

Step 4. : Place the two back pieces wrong sides together. Baste around all edges. Pin the front section in place and baste along the sides and bottom through all thickness.

Step 5. : To make curved corners, place a teacup on the corner of the bag and draw a pencil line around it; cut along the curved line. Repeat on the remaining three corners.

Step 6. : Trim the out edges with bias binding. Turn under the raw end of the binding and overlap at the finishing point.
