I am a descendant of Benoni Sweet b. 1692 to Benoni and Elizabeth Sweet. He left Rhode Island in 1760 wtih the New England Planters including his wife and children, to Falmouth Landing, Nova Scotia, now Newport Landing. He was married to Elizabeth ? and had 5 children, 4th one born 1748 - Benoni married Lydia Dimock, family also from Rhode Island.

They had 9 children. Their son Benoni b1774-1854, married Margaret Cochran., There daughter, Margaret Ann Sweet, b. 1818 -1884, married Thomas Brown. It is through this Brown that I trace to the Sweets (my mother's maiden name is Brown, I guess this is it in a nutshell: I also have all their children and children's children.
