Received corrections to the Whitlock line from Peter Whitlock. He says, "We are fairly confident that Charles Whitlock who married Esther is the son of James and Agness (Christmas) Whitlock as opposed to the Josiah Whitlock that you show. We show the Charles son of Josiah as the Charles Whitlock who married Frances and had children Nancy and Elizabeth Dabney plus others, unknown. We know from documents in the 1680's that the Whitlocks of Virginia called the Whitlocks of Wokingham "kinsman" but have not figured out yet how these two families are connected. I suspect it is likely through the William Whitlock, Lord of the Manor of Beches who mortgaged his estates to his cousin and eventually sold them in 1617.
