Notes for James Allred

!I have been told the Allred lines are confusing and contradictive. I have
!even seen another group sheet with differing dates on the same family.
!Nevertheless, temple work has been done for both sets of names & dates.

A child, RIN 589, is the father of Samuel Allred and child, RIN 594, is the
father of Elizabeth Diantha Allred. Samuel & Elizabeth married.

From a microfiche titled "Pioneers and Prominent Men of Utah" I discovered
James Allred (this person) came to Utah in 1851. His occupation was farming.

James Allred is mentioned by Brigham Young in the Journal of Discourses and
in Church History books as being a leader of pioneers under Brigham Young as
the Saintswent west and also for settling Sanpete county, Utah. (His mention
in the Journal of Discourses was not favorable.) He did something Pres. Young
told him not to and got into trouble (with the Indians?).

I descend from this man more than once and it is through one of his lines that
I claim to be an 8th generation Mormon.
