Dr. David Blask of the Bassett Research Institute in Cooperstown, N.Y. reported at the annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research that with constant light, which suppresses melatonin, tumors grow seven times faster and soak up incredible amounts of linoleic acid.  When we turn on the lights for a long time or work in front of computers or around other sources of radiation for long periods of time, we suppress natural melatonin production that usually kicks in at night in the dark.  

Melatonin helps you sleep and suppresses cancer cells, so if you are lacking melatonin because of being around too much light or electromagnetic devices, you are at a higher risk to develop sleep problems, breast cancer, and other related health conditions.  

There is increasing evidence that there are harmful effects from high pulsating magnetic energy emitted from power transmission lines, TVs, radios, computers, cellphones, hair dryers, and a myriad of other electric appliances.  The ordinary 60-cycle alternating electromagnetic fields created by technology seem to exert stress at the cellular level in the body.  It is reported that they can cause memory loss, headaches, and changes in blood chemistry and heart rhythm.  These devices can lead to reduced melatonin production, and the brain's electromagnetic signals to the cells can be inhibited, interfering with the body's disease-fighting ability.  Studies of exposure to alternating electromagnetic fields have shown mutagenic effects, cancer cell promotion, and a lowering of the body's pH to a more acidic level.

What Can You Do About It?

Avoid harmful radiation from cellphones, televisions, and computers whenever possible.  Unplug electrical devices when not in use.  The least expensive and most effective EMF neutralizer to stick on cellphones and televisions that I have found is by Aulterra.  You can't block radiation or the phone won't work, and you can't absorb it or it would overload the device, so the neutralizer changes the frequency of the signal to assimilate natural frequencies that don't harm the body.

To aid sleep naturally, take a melatonin supplement a couple hours before bedtime only as needed, and a potent vitamin/mineral supplement daily.  If you take melatonin right before going to sleep, you may not get the effects you desire, as your  body normally already starts producing its own melatonin as soon as you turn off the lights and go to sleep.
