Aquatic and generally hard to approach..... but not too camera-shy once you finally get up-close! Their grunt-like call tells their whereabouts, and this species seldom wanders far from water. These look very similar to Rana catesbeiana but are smaller, and like their larger cousins, will eat anything that crosses their path!
