Wood frogs often breed in huge numbers, often completing their cycle in just a few nights, and when approached quietly at night with a flashlight, this can be quite a scene! They breed very early, and spend the summers living in the forest, blending in perfectly with the dead leaves. Prefers cooler temperatures than most frogs, and can sometimes be heard even before the ice has melted fully. These were taken in Quebec, near Cabano, and in Pennsylvania, near Stroudsburg.
