Another Baby 2

A beautiful young male

From the year 2000.

This little guy is looking really GOOD!! He's already looking like a "Box turtle", and as of October, 2003, very faint telltale signs of top-of-head pattern are starting to show.

His mom was from Eastern Pennsylvania, and she too was really nice, with loads of very bright, very tiny vivid yellow flecks all over her head and neck (including the top), and already he's been seen "flirting" with the females! The "wild" males in the area where "mom" was found all have spotted heads on top, but their necks are all black.

As a hatchling -

He was fairly "typical", with the dark shell, and the single bright yellow dot in the center of each scale. His leg scales were (and still are) dull, but his head is "brightening up" a bit!

The irregular "row" of spots behind the eye, and going down the side of the neck were there at hatching, and have gone unchanged so far.

UPDATED PHOTO - 2004!

Take a look at the pattern developing on the top of the head! This was taken in late March, 2004.

Just wait until you see him NOW! WOW!! Click here to see his stunning 2007 Photo!
