The
Olympia Storytelling Guild Newsletter
January
2002
Join us
Wednesday January 16th from 6-8 pm as we explore the ins and outs of
audience participation tales. Do you
have particular tales that are perfect for eliciting audience involvement? What kinds of sources do you use to find
such stories? Or maybe you have never
told a story with audience participation and want to learn more. Everyone is welcome to bring his or her
experiences, ideas, and questions!
We’ll be meeting at McLane Elementary School (200 Delphi Rd. SW in Olympia).
If you need a ride or would like to carpool, get in touch with one of
the steering committee members.
It is with sadness that we report the
death of Norma Jean Verhul, a charming and talented member of our Guild. Her
memorial service, with its' beautifully rendered Mozart aria, poetry, and
personal remembrances, gave loving tribute to her life on earth.

Ring, a series of linked homepages dedicated to the art of storytelling. Many of the pages are those of professional
tellers, but there are also sites with stories to hear, articles to peruse, and
other nifty information.
Please
get in touch with one (or more) of us with any questions, ideas, concerns, etc.
