This month’s gathering and swap will be a Winter Holiday Party.   Feel free to bring something to share, whether it is a tasty treat or a tale to tell.   Join us Wednesday December 19th from 6-8 pm at McLane Elementary School.  (200 Delphi Rd. SW in Olympia)  If you need a ride or would like to carpool, get in touch with one of the steering committee members.

Tellabration a Success!

On Friday, November 9th, Traditions was a wonderful and warm space filled with the magic of stories.    Mike was our Tellabration MC, using his talents to create space for the evening’s tellers to share their stories.  Unfortunately, Blayne was ill, and could not join us as planned.  Anne Marie brought us a musical tale, Abiyoyo, as well as Sody Sallyratus.  Rebecca enchanted the audience with her telling of Talking Eggs.  Edna told a rollicking rendition of Duffy and the Devil, and I shared A Sackful of Stories.  We had quite a turnout!  The room was full and cozy, and our listeners were open and responsive.  Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Tellabration possible!

Newsletter Help?

The newsletter is a great way to keep up to date on what is going on in the guild.  It could also be a place to find out about new storytelling books and tapes, storytelling performances in the area, and other related topics.  If you would like to contribute information to the newsletter on any of these fronts, please let me (Mari) know!
