Lost at Sea Poetry by Lee picture by Sherrie Lost at Sea I am adrift upon the Ocean, As i Sail beyond Eternity, Searching for an Island, Like a Captain, Lost at Sea. Beyond the Next Horizon, I pray for my special love. That comes beyond the Heavens, Like an Angel from above. I am sure that Heaven must be waiting, As the distant far off land. While God bestows His favors, And I walk these earthly sands. I know not why, love is resting, So far beyond my reach, As I walk the lengthy, barefoot sands, Of life's never ending beach. There must surely be an answer, As I lay my weary head, Restlessly, Crying as I sleep, Upon this empty bed. Surely there is a little woman, Who needs a tender loving hug, Looking for that someone, who will share in peaceful love. As I search for hidden treasures, I look not, for gems or gold, But an everlasting, loving wife, As we share in getting old. One Day, Patience will find an answer, Where loneliness comes to end, As Our Lord bestows His treasured blessings, Of one very special friend.
