"Scoshie Dugas" Poetry by Lee There was a New Kid in the Trailer Park, So many Years ago, A pleasant, Quiet family, That took some time to know. His mother under hood, Tuning cars so well, And his Dad was at the post office, Sorting special mail. One day Scoshie Showed Me, His prided Bow & Arrows, Is there somewhere we can shoot? Maybe at some sparrows? I noticed his little sister, Gosh! She sure was Cute, But she was just a little girl, So I didn't give a hoot. We spent our evening, Launching Arrows, Over the Mossy Trees, Hearing crows a squawking, As they sailed in from the breeze. He had an old used bicycle, In need of some repair, And that became my Pride & Joy, As I rode it everywhere. Leaving for a Date, His Mom would shout, "Have a Joyful Time" But then she said, "Be Good" "Will you Please Make up your mind?" In A Wreck, He went to Heaven, To the Mansion in the Sky. That's the day, those Awful Tears, Kept Getting in my Eyes.
